Poem

We do not need a special day
To bring you to our minds.
The days we do not think of you
Are very hard to find.

Each morning when we awake,
We know that you are gone.
And no one knows the heartache
As we try to carry on.

Our hearts still ache with sadness
And secret tears still flow.
What it meant to lose you
No one will ever know.

Our thoughts are always with you,
Your place no one can fill.
In life we loved you dearly;
In death we love you still,

There will always be a heartache,
And often a silent tear.
But always a precious memory
Of the days when you were here.

If tears could make a staircase,
And heartaches make a lane,
We'd walk the path to heaven
And bring you home again.

We hold you close within our hearts;
And there you will remain,
To walk with us throughout our lives
Until we meet again.

Our family chain is broken now,
And nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.

OH Andrea how your heart still aches and will continue to ache to hold your little Wyatt. I hope that as the one year anniversary nears Heavenly Father will give you all the tender mercies you deserve to get you through this next week. You are always in my thoughts and I pray for you often. You ARE an amazing daughter of God and a great example to me. Thank you for continuing to share your thoughts and enlightening me on those who are bereaved. We love you and your family.
Love Steph and family

Andrea,
I had a little bit of catching up on your blog today. Thank-you for all your words. I cried. It is okay to cry. It brings a sense that everything will be okay. I loved the words of Russel M. Nelson. They speak sweet peace and comfort to my soul. So we are coming down to St. George next Monday and possibly again the week after. We should get together for lunch or something. I'm not sure when everything is happening, but I would love to meet you. We are staying on the outskirts of St. George, but everything is so close. Anyway, I'll let you know what time court is, and than maybe we can get together.

I love the poem.. Especially the ending where it states, "Our FAMILY CHAIN IS BROKEN" Isn't that the truth? And how as we return the links will meet again. Wow! What a powerful poem. Thank you for sharing it.

Andrea-
I do not know you or even remember how I came across your blog, but I have been following you for awhile now.
I just wanted to drop you a line and let you know that you and your family are in my prayers as you struggle through missing your sweet Wyatt...especially this week.
I have not experienced the loss of one of my children, so I won't pretend to understand your grief, but I do understand a mothers heart and I know that there is no other love like that of a 'mum'. Motherhood is our choicest calling here on this earth.
I know that you know that you will be blessed to raise Wyatt eventually, and although I'm sure that does not lessen your pain for today, I pray that you will feel some comfort from that promise. May you feel the love of many (even strangers)as we continue to offer our prayers on your behalf. Please know that there is at least one other mum who is thinking about your sweet family a little bit extra this week.
Loves!!
