Trek

We had the opportunity this summer to go on a Pioneer Trek and be a ma and pa to some of the most amazing youth.  We also got to experience this wonderful week with two of our kids.  Em and Ty went along too.  They were in different families but we still got to experience this amazing spiritual experience together.  Just wish Hay could have been with us.  I didn't have my camera for a lot of the week but did take a few pics.  Ty was chosen to be the young man that carried girls across the river to reinact the valley boys helping the pioneers.  He did a great job...and it wasn't easy.  I had someone else's camera that day so I don't have any pictures of it.  D gave an amazing talk about the atonement and specifically talked about Wyatt...needless to say many tears were shed.  The spirit was so strong.  So grateful for spiritual experiences that continue to strengthen our testimonies.  So grateful for our Savior Jesus Christ and all he has done for each and everyone of us.  So grateful for the hope he gives.  It was a hard and tiring week but worth all the effort.  So grateful we got to go.
The group of girls in our van on the ride there....long, long drive!!
 Our totally amazing trek family!
Setting up camp..which we did almost everyday.
 Treking with our handcart.

The entrance to Martin's Cove.  This is a special place for me.  I had an incredible experience here many years before.  Something I will never forget!  While treking at Martins cove there were sooooo many butterflies.  I had so many Wyatt moments that week.  So grateful for those tender mercies.

I wish I would have gotten Ty and Em together for a picture.  He was always off with his family or friends.  Em stayed close to me so that is why I have many more pictures of her.

Temple

The Sunday before we left for Trek we went to the visitor center to see an art exhibit on the pioneers.  After going through the amazing exhibit and reading about all that the pioneers had to endure we went outside to enjoy the temple.  They had music playing. So, of course Hay had to dance.  She then got Em to join and eventually Ty.  It was a fun evening enjoying the beauty of the temple.  Families are Forever!

California

We started out our summer with a bang.  We went on a family trip to California.  The whole Jensen family was there except those on missions.  It was so much fun.  We went to Disneyland, the beach, the Mormon Battalion, San Diego temple and just enjoyed the amazing resort we stayed at.  So grateful to such amazing parents and for their generosity.  Memories were created that we will never forget.  Nothing is better than being with family on a vacation.
Such amazing parents. Thank you Mom and Dad!

 The Momon Battalion
Love her dirty face...she is full of life!

Love this man!  One of the hardest workers you will ever meet.  Also, one of the most generous and loving around.   Wish I would have taken a picture of his equally amazing wife who is everything he is along with the sweetest women you will ever meet!
 Panning for gold.

Disneyland was so much fun!  It truly is the happiest place on earth.  Grateful for the few butterflies we saw that day.  We knew Wyatt was near.

 Matching cousins. :)

Hay was scared to death.

D celebrated his b-day on our trip.  We went to the beach that day and a man had built this sandcastle.  What a cool birthday gift!  Though it was made for a couple getting married that day I told him it was a present from me.  Love him!
Can it get much better than being at the beach??

Swimming at the resort was a fun daily activity.  Such awesome pools!

The boys did a lot of golfing.
 Family dinner.
Sleepover with cousins.  They did makeovers.
Just chillin' together is one of my favorite things to do.  So much fun!

One of the most beautiful temples ever.  Going inside is even more amazing!  Truly a castle!
