Strings of Dixie

We made a decision this summer. We decided we were going to have the girls do violin and nothing else. We were able to join an amazing group called the Strings of Dixie. We love the instructor and think she will teach the girls more than anyone else. We dropped everything including dance. I just felt like this was more a of virtuous and lovely activity for our girls to do. I also felt like this was something they could use all their lives. It has been hard and they have had to work really hard to learn all the songs they needed to for their performances this fall. But they have done great!

Their first performance was at Swiss days in Midway, UT. It was so much fun. Since then they have performed other places and will continue to have opportunities to perform. Another reason I wanted them to join this group was they do lots of performing which I believe will help them share this talent more in their lives. They have learned a lot of fun fiddling songs and continue to learn the Suzuki method. So proud of these girls and all the hard work they have put into it.

My parents amazing backyard. We had so much fun enjoying their new Gazebo along with all the fruits and vegetables they grew.

I love listening to that group! How fun for the girls. Tell Haley that I want her red boots!
